We are currently looking at adapting ASTM F2306 for use by countries in Latin America and other international markets. The standard, as written, however, does not lend itself to be easily used in conjunction with ISO standards that are more common. I would like to take out a project to make its adoption easier for these countries. I will not be changing any of the current requirements but will be providing additional content such as SN values for stiffness and ISO references that can be used in lieu of the ASTM references. In all cases, the ASTM references will remain with ISO references as an option. I also plan to modify the diameters to reflect those products currently being manufactured in the US and internationally, specifically adding sizes 4 to 10, as well some metric equivalents and non-Imperial sizes.
