Rationale

This standard will provide customer and supplier the ability for post printing verification using nondestructive testing (NDT) methods. Today many LPB suppliers and customers may not be NDT experts or have the experience of product definition in the aviation and space arenas. This standard fills the gap of acceptability during post product verification. Today, many of the existing acceptability standards are either legacy military standards or criteria from another product form.

The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
