1. Scope

The development of specifications for plastic pipe, fittings, and appurtenances; practices for joining and installing plastic pipes; test methods; terminology, systems and services specific to plastic piping systems and the stimulation of related research.
The work of the Committee may include the consideration of composite piping systems, and components which are partially plastic.
The work of the Committee will be coordinated with ASTM Committee and other organizations having mutual interests.
