New Test Method for Formula for a Cleaning Agent Intended to Clean Clinically-Used Stainless Steel Medical Device Soiled with Dried Blood
1. Scope
Provide a formula for a cleaning agent intended to clean dried blood from a medical devices manufactured of stainless steel. This formula is one that can be prepared and used within by a laboratory and tested against the relevant test methods identified in ASTM D8179-18. Additional and alternative test methods may also be identified and employed.

Rationale
ASTM D8179-18 has identified various test methods appropriate to use to characterize cleaning agents intended to clean medical devices. The formula specified in this document will be tested against the relevant tests in D8179 and other relevant test methods. Test results will be reported in this document. This will provide useful information about this cleaning agent formulation.
