Rationale
A significant challenge for industry are primary barrier packaging material changes. This challenge is primarily due to the lack of understanding between material performance in field vs. individual material properties. The challenge manifests itself when a material needs to change due to unforeseen circumstances and there isnt sufficient time for testing. Users of this standard are expected to be producers and users of primary barrier packaging materials.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
