New Practice for For Special Coatings for cast iron soil and fittings
1. Scope
Cast iron soil pipes and fittings manufactured to ASTM A888 and A74 are used for drain waste and vent systems and storm water systems installed above and below ground. This standard addresses test methods which can be utilized to test the special coatings sometimes used for special applications. During the November, 2018 subcommittee meeting, David Waggoner volunteered to act as the technical contact for this work item. David explained that he had the expertise to identify the applicable information to complete a first draft of this proposed practice.

Rationale
This duplicates an older work item which was deleted because the time for completion had passed. The finished standard could be incorporate into design professionals job specifications when these coatings are used.
