Rationale

ASTM D2273 is a method used in SAE J1899 and SAE J1966 specs for aviation piston engine oils. SAE E38 committee decided to reinstate D2273 for the use in above two specs. Once the method is reinstated, we’re planning to conduct and ILS to update the precision statement.
