ASTM Committee B10 on Reactive and Refractory Metals and Alloys was formed in 1965. B10 meets twice a year, usually in May and November, with approximately 25 members attending over two days of technical meetings. The Committee, with a current membership of approximately 85, has jurisdiction of over 47 standards, published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, Volume 2.04. Committee B10 has 4 technical subcommittees that maintain jurisdiction over these standards. Information on this subcommittee structure and B10's portfolio of approved standards and work items under construction are available from the List of Subcommittees, Standards and Work Items below. These standards have and continue to play a preeminent role in all aspects important to the industry including: compositions, properties, dimensions, classification, nomenclature, analysis, and quality assurance.
