ASTM International’s road and paving systems committee (D04) has presented its 2025 Prevost Hubbard Award to Scott Veglahn, lab manager and compliance officer at MTE Services - A division of Mathy Construction.
Veglahn was recognized for dedicated service to committee D04 and his work as the co-chair of the Task Force of Asphalt Standards Harmonization (TFASH). The award honors his knowledge, commitment, and integrity for leading the committee’s efforts to harmonize ASTM International and AASHTO test standards.
A member of ASTM International since 2010, Veglahn is also a member of the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT).
Veglahn’s career focus is research and quality testing of road and paving materials with an emphasis on asphalt binder. He accepted his current position at MTE Services in 2008, after spending time at PPD Inc. and Bell Laboratories.
Veglahn earned his bachelor of science degree in chemistry from University of Wisconsin – La Crosse (2004).
