A newly approved ASTM International standard will advance the cause of architectural preservation by aiding in the repair and maintenance of historic buildings that were constructed prior to the use of modern cement and lime formulations. ASTM International will hold an organizational meeting on April 5 for a new standards-developing activity on captive animal photography and videography. The activity, with support from the International League of Conservation Photographers, will address ethical responsibilities involved in maintaining, photographing and publishing photos of captive animals.
