Revision of D3350-21 Standard Specification for Polyethylene Plastics Pipe and Fittings Materials
Rationale
Ballot Action: Revision of D3350 Standard Specification for Polyethylene Plastics Pipe and Fittings Materials by adding a section identifying Elevated Temperature HDB Performance Classification, specifically at 60°C (140°F) and 82°C (180°F) by appending the category designation requirement given in newly added Tables 3 and/or 4 to the line call out. The identified elevated temperature HDB performance classification is only for PE compounds intended for pressure piping applications at these temperatures as noted in the materials requirement section of the appropriate ASTM standard specification.
This ballot only pertains to added information in Section 2, and added sections 4.2.1, 6.9, 6.9.1, 6.9.2, 6.9.3, associated tables 3 and 4, notes in these sections, and sections 10.1.12, 10.1.12.1, and 10.1.12.2. Comments or negatives on anything else in the ballots shall not be considered.
