Revision of G158-98(2021) Standard Guide for Three Methods of Assessing Buried Steel Tanks
Rationale
This Standard Guide was balloted for re-approval with no changes in July 2021. The ballot passed with no negatives, but there were a number of comments received which were discussed in detail at the November 21, 2021 and May 5, 2022 meetings of G01.10. Most of these comments and recommendations were deemed to be persuasive, and it was agreed by the committee to make suggested revisions and re-ballot the Standard. The most significant revisions are to delete section 1.4 from the Scope and, as this is a Standard Guide and not a Standard Test Method, remove or reword mandatory wording and words such as “shall” and “must” throughout the document.
