Revision of E1019-18 Standard Test Methods for Determination of Carbon, Sulfur, Nitrogen, and Oxygen in Steel, Iron, Nickel, and Cobalt Alloys by Various Combustion and Inert Gas Fusion Techniques
Rationale
E1019 is being revised to incorporate the proposed methods for carbon and sulfur analysis balloted as work item WK55918 (E01 ballot 19-03). Committee E01 approved the analytical approach in ballot 19-03, although negatives were cast due to an ILS not having been performed. An ILS has now been completed and the data is incorporated in this revision. One ballot of the revision was completed in E01 ballot 22-05 and the current ballot incorporates the comments received.
