Delete the term, “fracture strength,” which is attributed to subcommittee E28.04, from E6.
The phrase “fracture strength” is not defined in any E28 standard.
The phrase “fracture strength” appears four times in the withdrawn standard E0796-94(2000) (“Standard Test Method for Ductility Testing of Metallic Foil”), but is not defined there. The method of E796 does not conform to the usual concept of a tension test—it is a type of low-cycle fatigue test of foil.
The phrase also appears once in E1012-19.
