New Test Method for Early Warning Prediction of Disinfection Byproducts (DBPs) in Drinking Water using A-TEEM Spectroscopy and Multivariate Analysis

1. Scope

The A-TEEM method provides NOM composition and concentration information directly relating to key DBP precursors. This method provides early warning prediction from raw source water of DBP formation and species concentration with close correspondence to conventional method measurements.

Keywords

A-TEEM; DBP precursors; THM speciation

Rationale

This is a non-destructive DBP prediction and measurement method using the patented simultaneous Absorbance-Transmittance and fluorescence Excitation-Emission Mapping (A-TEEM) technology.

The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
