ASTM WK80030

Revision of D1418-21a Standard Practice for Rubber and Rubber Latices—Nomenclature

Rationale

Two new definitions are requested, namely:
FKO—fluoropolyether rubber.
FFKO—perfluoropolyether rubber.
These new terms apply to the elastomeric compounds in US patent US20080107950A1 assigned to the company Shin-Etsu. These are “O-type” rubber because it is based on perfluoropolyether.
