Original Rationale: To improve clarity: Sub section of 4.5.1.5 (1) and (2) should be combined. From my understanding, there are only 3 ways to deal with a non-forming component: scrapped/reject, rework, or as is. Sub-section (2) describes what shall be done to the scrapped or rejected part and should not be shown as an option for non-conforming component. In addition to the rationale based on negative comments: The main concern from the comments is to allow for options for handling rejected components, which was not offered in the original language. The new proposed language will require manufacturers/suppliers to demonstrate appropriate procedures must be in place to ensure rejected components shall not be used for the intended purpose with allowances for different options.
