Work Item
ASTM WK76441

Revision of D6624-20 Standard Practice for Determining a Flow-Proportioned Average Property Value (FPAPV) for a Collected Batch of Process Stream Material Using Stream Analyzer Data

This work item modifies the definition of fit-for-use, recognizing that it is most often used as an adjective to describe an attribute of a measurement system, the data produced thereby, or the product being measured. The work item also introduces the term fitness-for-use as a noun that represents the state of a fit-for-use system, the data it produces, or the product being measured. The text of the standard is modified to use fitness-for-use where appropriate.
