1. Scope

The promotion of knowledge; the stimulation of research; the development of specifications and test methods; the interpretation and significance of tests; definitions of terminology; and recommended practices related to engine coolants, industrial heat transfer fluids, diesel exhaust fluids, and like fluids. The work of this Committee will be coordinated with other ASTM Committees and other organizations having mutual interest. The areas of interest to the Committee are the performance of products or materials that are used as, or in, engine coolants or an engine coolant system, industrial heat transfer systems, and diesel exhaust systems.

Keywords

E-mobility coolants; glassware corrosion test, battery electric vehicle. fuel cell vehicle

Rationale

This standard will test for corrosion resistance of new coolant chemistries on various metals use in fuel cell and battery electric vehicle cooling systems.

The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
