Revision of F2291-20 Standard Practice for Design of Amusement Rides and Devices

None Provided

Increasingly, rides are employing Head Mounted Displays and other accessories that may increase the amount of inertia associated with a patrons head. The rationale for this revision is to address concerns regarding higher forces that may occur as a result of the increased inertia. This ballot specifically indicates that for head-worn accessories that may induce more than a minimal effect on the patrons head inertia, the limits do not apply and that additional biomechanical reviews are required to resolve any associated hazards within the ride analysis.
