1. Scope
The proposed standard provides detailed options for existing standard methods for characterization, sampling, and analysis pertaining to materials harvested from storage units for beneficial uses.

Rationale
it provides more information that fits into the series of new standards on harvesting materials from storage units. We did a general guide and this provides exact sampling analytical methods for various end uses. Users of the standard would be the electric utilities, those that own storage units, perspective investors in harvested materials, ash brokers, end-users such as ceramic, cement, concrete manufacturers.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
