Revision of D1970/D1970M-19 Standard Specification for Self-Adhering Polymer Modified Bituminous Sheet Materials Used as Steep Roofing Underlayment for Ice Dam Protection
Rationale
A new Significance and Use section was added to the Flexibility at -29C test method on previous ballot D08(18-04), Item 7. A negative voter on that ballot objected to the phrase reasonable amount, but withdrew his negative based on agreement to ballot a change to that language. An initial attempt to address this issue was advanced as D08.02(19-01), Item 1, but that item received persuasive negatives. A second attempt was put forward as D08.02(19-05), Item 1, which also garnered persuasive negatives. A third attempt made it to Main Committee ballot D08(20-02), Item 27, but received persuasive negatives. This ballot offers language developed from comments of the Main Committee D08(20-02) negative voters and input from the original negative voter who objects to reasonable amount.
