New Practice for Cleaning of Thermoplastic Solid Wall Sewer Pipelines

1. Scope

This practice shall define some common practices, equipment and procedures for cleaning various types of Thermoplastic sanitary sewer pipelines. It will provide recommendations and protocols that should be considered based on the type of pipe material to be cleaned.

Rationale

There are currently no ASTM standards on proposed methods for cleaning sanitary sewer pipelines. The information in the general literature is manufacturer based with no guidelines or recommendations based on materials or pipe conditions.

The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
