The work item proposes a general update to Test Method C900 on the pullout test to bring it up to date with current practice. The proposed changes include the following: 1) a general editorial update to remove unenforceable terms such as smooth and minimize; 2) allow the use of a documented strength relationships developed by the manufacturer; 3) clarify that holes for post-installed tests are created with a coring bit; 4) require that the loading system be capable of applying a continuously increasing load; 5) update the clear spacing requirements and a new figure to summarize these requirements; 6) revise the procedure for better agreement with practice; 7) add a new section on the information to be recorded during testing; and 8) modify Table X2.1.
