Revision of E1111/E1111M-14 Standard Test Method for Measuring the Interzone Attenuation of Open Office Components

Rationale

This ballot is to provide a precision and bias statement for E1111. A round robin was conducted with four labs and one specimen. One lab was deemed by the task group to be an outlier based on a statistical outlier test developed by Dixon. The data from all laboratories will be presented in the associated research report. The articulation class derived by testing according to E1111 is the sum of the weighted nominal sound attenuations rounded to the nearest 10, at each of 6 positions in the room. Basing the statistics on the rounded values would be misleading so the unrounded values were used.
