Table V. Factors for Converting Kinematic Viscosity Saybolt Universal Viscosity at Temperatures from −100 to +500 F

Source

The factors or multipliers given in Table V are based upon the general equation given in ASTM Standard D 446, for converting kinematic viscosity to Saybolt Universal viscosity at temperatures other than 100 F and 210 F. The general equation of ASTM Standard D 446 and the factors derived therefrom are established from viscosity data in the temperature range of 70 to 300 F. The factors for use at temperatures outside this range are given for convenience in Table V and are calculated from the same equation. Note 1.—The viscosity-temperature charts specified in ASTM Standard D 341 are also based upon the general equation given in Method D 446 and are established for the temperature range of −30 to +450 F.
