0.65 to 1.10 Chromium—0.10 to 0.30 Molybdenum Steels


A wide range in relaxation strengths was reported at 850 F. The reasons for the range are not evident in the data. The initial stress was partially responsible. This, however, was not the only factor as is shown by the cross plot of initial and residual stresses for 850 F, page 24.
