Activation Analysis for Industry

Source

One of the many by-products which have derived from the nuclear age is a novel analytical method called activation analysis. This new analytical method offers the advantages over other methods of extreme specificity and sensitivity for most of the elements. In spite of its apparent superiority over present techniques in many applications, its industrial usage, to date, has not been widespread. This may be attributed in part to the still limited local availability of nuclear reactors and also to the specialized radiochemical techniques and radiation instrumentation required.
