Titanium-Carbide-Base Cermets for High-Temperature Service

The development of titanium-carbide-base cermets containing 25 to 65 per cent of nickel-chromium or nickel-cobalt-chromium binder is described. Production procedures and physical properties of these materials at room and at elevated temperatures are given. The applicability for the production of parts to be used in the temperature range of 1700 to 1800 F is discussed.
