Decrease of Skid-Resisting Properties of Wet Road Surfaces at High Speeds

A theory is developed to show that the production of steam by the transformation of energy causes the decrease of skid-resisting properties of wet road surfaces at high speeds. The theory enables us to make quantitative computations regarding the relation between the friction coefficient and the speed.
