Changes in Properties of Plastics During Implantation

Source

The literature for the last eight years was surveyed for information as to the change in properties of plastics caused by implantation. It was found that comparatively little work has been done. Plastics whose change in properties have been measured include nylon, Orlon, Dacron, Teflon, polyethylene, Silastic, polyurethane, and Mylar. Based on the few results available, Dacron and Silastic show the least change in periods up to a year and a half.
