Part III. Aluminum and Titanium

Source

The previous two parts of this series of papers have dealt with the effect of pile radiation on carbon and stainless steels and on alloys of nickel and other high-strength or refractory alloys. This current article covers briefly the effects of radiation on aluminum, titanium, and some of their alloys, as well as a summary of properties of examples of the unirradiated materials of interest to the mechanical engineer bent on the design of structural systems to be used in a nuclear reactor core.
