Sulfamic Acid Cleaning of Electron Tube Parts

Copper, silver, nickel, and their alloys, as well as Kovar, stainless steel, and molybdenum are all used in the manufacture of electron tubes. They require chemical cleaning during parts assembly. Descaling of severely oxidized parts has always been a problem because very ac-safety equipment. This monobasic acid is readily soluble in water up to 30 per cent by weight, and may be used hot or at room temperature.
