Applications of Flame Photometry for the Analysis of Alkalies in Silicates, Waters, and Metals

Source

It is difficult to think of flame photometry without thinking first of the alkali metal determinations. Even now, when we know that a number of other elements can be determined with this instrument, we consider principally the advantages to be gained in alkali analysis. Therefore, the evaluation of sodium and potassium determinations furnishes an excellent illustration of the value of flame photometry.
