Glass-Fiber Felt Roofing Products

Source

Glass-fiber felts permit monolithic construction in both field-assembled built-up roofs and factory-produced prepared roofing materials. Composed essentially of inert inorganic materials, these felts are not subject to deterioration and decay or attack by fungi or bacteria. Moisture absorption or migration within the felts is prevented by the noncellular structure of the glass fibers. Product appearance resembles that of paper-like felts, and methods of application are virtually the same as those for laminar-type constructions. Performance histories together with the results of controlled weather testing show that these materials and constructions perform at least as well as other designs.
