Wood Pole-Type Buildings

Pole-type buildings during the past twenty years have accounted for a very large number of structures for various farm occupancies built in practically all sections of the country. During the last ten years, a large number of industrial buildings supported by pressure-treated round timber poles have been erected by commercial enterprises. Pole-building has been increasingly popular for warehouses and various buildings planned for storage, display and merchandising of building materials and other commodities. At present, buildings of this type are being designed for transit sheds, chemical and machinery storage and for railroad paint shops.
