Sampling, Separations, and Identification of Binder and Solvent

Source

Analysis of coatings can begin only after representative samples of suitable size are available in the laboratory. When an original container cannot be sent to the laboratory, someone must obtain a sample or samples for the laboratory. The sampler must either be generally well-trained in sampling procedures and be familiar with the special properties of various paints and precautions in handling paints or be given explicit instructions and equipment by the laboratory each time he is sent for a sample.
