The Need for Automated System Specifications and Designs

Source

The development of system specifications and functional and implementation designs for one chemistry system at the National Environmental Research Center in Cincinnati is discussed. Technical details are presented to illustrate the form and context of these three phases of the laboratory automation project. The principles used for this work are the same as those being followed by ASTM Committee E-31 in the development of “guidelines and recommended practices.”
