Short Fiber Reinforced Magnetic Powder Cores

Source

Short fiber reinforced magnetic powder cores were investigated. The powder cores were made of iron powders and insulating resin by a compression molding process. Aramide fiber (Kevlar) chopped strand reinforced cores show very tough characteristics compared with those made without the fiber, and also show that they have suitable magnetic properties for magnetic wedges.
