Noncombustibility—Its Definition, Measurement, and Applications

Source

The long history of the application of the concept “noncombustibility” in the building field was sufficient to justify drafting a recommendation for a noncombustibility test that would serve to define and measure the lack of “reaction to fire” of construction materials. A short description of the ISO noncombustibility test (R 1182) is provided, as well as a critical analysis which discusses its main features in terms of their weaknesses and advantages.
