Conclusion and Summary for Standards Writing Purposes and Governmental Consideration

Source

The origins of this meeting stemmed from International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee 121 on Anaesthetic and Respiratory Equipment, Subcommittee 3 on Lung Ventilators and Related Equipment, who sought guidance as to whether it was appropriate or indeed necessary to propose as a new work item a standard for monitoring equipment for anesthetic vapor levels in the airways of patients or at the common gas outlet of the anesthesia machine.
