USA Practice Slurry Wall Specifications 10 Years Later

Ten years earlier the authors prepared a paper on the then beginning state of practice regarding slurry wall specification in the USA. Changes (or lack thereof) and developments in the basic building blocks of specification criteria for the two types of walls constructed by the slurry wall technique; i.e., structural diaphragm walls and cutoff walls are reviewed. Specific recommendations and overview guidance for specification content are made for each wall type. Conclusions are presented concerning the present needs and likely future developments in this rapidly expanding specialty construction field.
