A Review of Quality Control Considerations in Soil Sampling


Precision, accuracy, and representativeness of samples are as important in soil sampling programs as these considerations are for other quality assurance programs. Proper procedures for cleaning and preparing sampling equipment and containers, selecting sampling sites, sample collecting and handling, and laboratory quality assurance/quality control should be observed to preserve the integrity of soils analyses.
