Viscoplastic Fatigue in a Superalloy at Elevated Temperatures

Source

This study involved extending existing analyses of the stress field and plastic zone ahead of a crack tip in a IN-100 compact tension specimen through a larger number of load cycles considering a frequency of 2.5 Hz and an R ratio of 0.1 at 732°C. The Bodner-Partom viscoplastic constitutive equations are utilized in describing the material behavior.
