Evaluating the Field Efficacy of Berliner against the Western Spruce Budworm (Lepidoptera:Tortricidae)

Source

A detailed assessment of spray deposition and efficacy of Dipel 6AF and Thuricide 48LV was carried out as part of the 1988 western spruce budworm control program. An analysis of covariance model was used in an attempt to examine the relationship between deposit density and field efficacy (larval mortality and defoliation) for the two formulations. The model could not be justified and relationships between the variables were investigated using chi-aquare analysis.
