Use of Phased Approach to Sampling Soil and Sediment for Site Characterization at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas

In this study, the phased approach is used to expedite collection of data and information about the site. The approach consists of sampling soils and sediments at a variety of locations, using applicable sampling devices. The validated analytical measurements acquired from sampling is entered into a database. This data then can be applied in a geographical information system (GIS). Further analysis of material can be reduced and saved in the database. The chain-of-custody records throughout the phased approach ensures careful and accurate documentation.
