The Potential of Corn Syrup as an Adjuvant for Postemergence Herbicides

Source

Corn marketing organizations and corn processors are interested in increasing the utilization of value-added products from corn. Corn syrup was evaluated as an activator adjuvant with several postemergence herbicides in greenhouse and field studies. The greatest enhancement of herbicide activity was observed with high fructose corn syrup applied in combination with an ammonium sulfate and an effective nonionic adjuvant with anionic herbicides such as glyphosate and glufosinate for control of grass species such as giant foxtail.
