Load Simulation Test System for Agricultural Tractors

Source

To establish an evaluation technology on the reliability for agricultural tractors, we have developed a field simulation system to evaluate the durability of agricultural tractors.

The load simulation system for the power take-off (PTO) shaft and the road (road-load) simulation system utilizing the “remote parameter control” principle are described.

First, experimental studies on the PTO load simulation system prove the possibility of laboratory simulation by using actual loads. This system includes the analysis of torque and revolution data frequency and the modification (editing) of the load pattern (actual data).

Second, experimental studies on the road-load simulation prove that with the utilization of the “remote parameter control” method it is possible to obtain excellent results when working with a servohydraulic test system. Some factors that affect the simulation processes, which are different for different tractors, are also shown.
