ASTM PTP Shipping Policy:

IMPORTANT for international participants (note exception below): You have the following options for receipt of samples:

• Ship through a third party shipping agent - Provide ASTM International with the complete contact information of a designated Shipping Agent located in the U.S. who will be responsible for shipping samples from the U.S. to your facility. Participants are responsible for making financial and shipping arrangements directly with the shipping agent.
  • Please be advised that when samples are shipped, an e-mail is sent only to the contact of record on your ASTM PTP account. It is the customer’s responsibility to advise their designated shipper that the sample has been shipped.
  • Certain shipping agents are not acceptable. Please confirm your shipping agent choice with ASTM International. If you would like a shipping agent recommendation, please contact ptp@astm.org.
• Ship directly from the sample distributor via UPS, DHL, or FEDEX - Provide ASTM International with your shipping account number to cover shipping charges. (If you are using DHL, please provide your import DHL account number, which will begin with a 9.)
  • Confirm that your carrier will deliver the test materials to your location. Materials classified as Hazardous may have restrictions. We cannot ship hazardous materials via DHL.
  • You are responsible for additional fees charged-back to our distributor for any reason relative to your sample shipment including, but not limited to, fees for fuel surcharges, missing/invalid account numbers, dangerous goods, remote area delivery, and multiple delivery attempts.

EXCEPTION: Please be aware there are programs where ALL participants (domestic and international) must provide a UPS, DHL or FEDEX account number to ship samples to a domestic location, such as a U.S.-based laboratory or U.S.-based third-party shipping agent. If you have selected one of these programs, as identified on the program’s webpage, be sure to provide ALL required shipping information.

We do not allow samples to be collected at our distributor's location.

We cannot add the shipping cost to your program fees.

We cannot ship the samples to you via collect payment upon delivery.

We cannot pay the shipping charge and invoice you for the cost.

We do not accept pre-printed shipping labels from your courier.
