Revision of D7566-24a Standard Specification for Aviation Turbine Fuel Containing Synthesized Hydrocarbons
Rationale
A motion to ballot was approved during the June 2023 ASTM Subcommittee J06 meeting in Denver, CO to revise ASTM 7566 Appendix X2. Other Detailed Requirements For Synthesized Blend Components.
ASTM D7566 Section A2.6.1 was recently revised and the Table A2.2 testing requirements were changed from every batch to “…once it is demonstrated that the process scheme is adequately controlled to support the expectation that these requirements are always met…” then Table A2.2 requirements “… shall be carried out when new production facilities or schemes are established, or when significant changes to existing production operations are implemented, such as the introduction of a new feedstock material, and at least annually if there is no change in the production scheme.” Consequently, Appendix X2.2 Other Detailed Requirements For Synthesized Blend Components needs to be revised to reflect the changes to A2.6.1
